“It’s never too late to find your bliss and make your life what you want it to be…” says Stacey Michelle in this empowering interview, where she shares her real-life story of self-love…
“I work mostly with ladies dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, worthlessness and self-sabotage; basically women that have hit an emotional brick wall and just can’t carry on anymore. My desire is to see my ladies leave my sessions feeling confident, peaceful, in flow and determined to follow their bliss. Taking back their power and starting to accomplish things they’d never imagined possible.
I’m an example of that, so I know it can happen. I’ve been through many struggles myself and understand how dark things can get at times. However, I also know that you can rise up through those times and emerge a stronger, wiser, more compassionate person. That’s why my focus is on helping women find true self-love, self-compassion, and to discover who they are without all the negative inner dialogue and fear of being judged that has controlled them most of their lives.
On the cusp of turning 51, I didn’t want to work just to earn an income. I wanted to do something that would make my heart happy and be purposeful, so I decided to finally follow the advice I’d given my kids for years – to follow my heart and study something I loved.”
Stacey from Western Australia now works with clients from all over the world as a Rapid Transformational Therapy™ (RTT™) practitioner. In this interview she explains how “I love seeing women go from years of fear, anxiety, hopelessness, anger and dread to happiness, confidence, inner love and peace. It will never get tiring! RTT is bringing peace, confidence, self love and compassion to life. It’s a very moving and inspiring experience.”
How has Rapid Transformational Therapy™ (RTT™) changed your life and why?
RTT has given my life a whole new purpose & direction. It’s given me the gift of not only being able to do what I am absolutely passionate about, transforming holistically (and quickly), but it’s offered me the ability to work from home or wherever I choose, as long as I have access to the internet. This spells a whole lot of flexibility and freedom that I intend to take advantage of from now on. My aging parents are in the UK (I’m in Australia), so I can now pick up my laptop and go and spend time with them while still running my practise.
Please can you briefly summarise your life before RTT, what were your biggest challenges? How did this impact your life and what was it costing you?
Hypnosis had intrigued me for many, many years but I never pursued it. I was either too busy raising a family, working, or helping my husband in his landscaping business… that was until my youngest son became sick. He was bed ridden on and off for years and I became his full time carer which impacted us financially too.
For a long time I just couldn’t see a way out of the struggle, especially with my sick son, feeling helpless to change things. I’m acutely aware of how fragile and precious life is so I’ve constantly tried to better myself, focus on positivity and expand my knowledge, but that didn’t offer a way out… Until it led me to discovering Marisa on a TEDx talk, which eventually led to where I am now!
How did you discover RTT and why did you decide to do it? How is RTT different from other approaches you have tried?
I was staying over at my eldest son’s house for the night when he and I got into a conversation about work. I told him I was going to look for a part time job but really wanted to do something that I was passionate about.
My son said “well why don’t you go and study what you love!” He told me to get online and look for courses, saying life’s too short and I should follow my heart… All things I’d always said to him while he was growing up!
Odd really, but that brief conversation inspired me. I went home the next day and researched courses. Over the next few days I kept seeing Marisa Peer and RTT coming up on my social media. I was fascinated because a few years earlier I had come across Marisa Peer on a previous TEDx talk and she had intrigued me.
I loved her confidence so I watched her videos, read about her course and got really excited, but I’d just committed myself to a different course and didn’t want to take on too much, so I held off from signing up.
When I started the other course I met a lady who mentioned RTT. This lady was studying it. She spoke very highly of the course, the support and the potential.
Around that time I’d seen an Australian hypnosis school were doing a seminar in my local city so I held off signing up to RTT to see what that was about. When I got there I got chatting with another lady and she told me she had not long returned for the UK where she trained directly with Marisa Peer doing RTT!
She told me how much she loved it, how amazing it was to see people with lifelong health issues be instantly transformed and how everything Marisa claims about rapid transformation was true. She herself had worked with clients and had been shocked by the results!
That was it for me, you know when you get that gut feeling something is right… I went home that night and signed up… RTT turned out to not only teach me how to transform people’s lives, it came with a comprehensive business/marketing course, a great support team and Facebook groups full of other practitioners and students helping each other out. I loved it from the day I signed up, and studied around the clock day in day out.
What was your experience of training in RTT?
The course is brilliant, it takes time and practice like everything, but the information is all there, the Facebook group is full of wonderful men and women all helping each other out, fellow students and graduates there to encourage and guide.
What did you most want to achieve from RTT?
Apart from wanting my own successful practice, working my own hours with clients that were ready for huge change in their lives, I was interested in helping people with depression and mental health issues. This is because my family, like so many, has been deeply affected by a family member with mental health issues.
I’ve also been passionate about natural healing and the power of the mind for much of my life, so this was just perfect for me.
How has your life changed now as a result of RTT? How does this relate to what you most wanted?
RTT has become a massive part of my life, it’s given me so much joy, a sense of purpose, independence and is a great income source that has massive potential judging by some other practitioners.
But apart from those reasons it has given me the opportunity to start living a completely different life, travelling and running my own business as I go. Being able to work my own hours, so I still get to hang out with my baby granddaughter and all the people I love.
I feel like I’ve found my calling and I know from the results that my clients are getting, that I am good at what I do, but to be fair, even the most basic RTT sessions make an impact so it’s not hard to be good.
I get no bigger thrill than seeing my clients go from anxiety to joy and self-love in one session, such a buzz.
Unless you experience RTT, it’s difficult to fathom, but it is very special.
On a personal level I’ve done many self-hypnosis sessions and am feeling more positive, motivated, confident and self-aware than ever before. I know what I want and what I won’t put up with anymore, which is what happens when you learn to love and respect yourself.
What has been your biggest impact with RTT? What are you most proud of? Is there a client story that brings this to life?
I’ve had some big impacts around anxiety, depression, OCD and anger, but I think what really helped me appreciate the power of RTT was working with a lady that had found me on Facebook when I had not long started taking paying customers. She was desperate, at the end of her ability to cope and not sure how to carry on. She didn’t want to go back to her doctor and be put on more drugs. She was full of anger and deeply upset at how she was pushing people she loved away but couldn’t control her outbursts.
She told me some of the trauma she had experienced in our pre-session call, so I planned her session based on that, mostly around anger. I had told her we should book only one session and we could see if she needed more after that.
She insisted on booking more than one session because she knew her trauma and felt we would need many. She warned me that I might possibly never work with anyone as traumatised as her, so I agreed to booking two sessions and said we could go from there.
A few nights before our session she called me up in floods of tears, she wanted me to know her “whole story.” There was so much she hadn’t told me, horrible abuse going back to a very young age from many people in her life, physical, mental, sexual, abandonment, she dealt with the tragic death of a dear loved one and much more. So much heart-breaking tragedy that affected her every day. She was right, I’d never personally heard of that much abuse. This beautiful lady had been through many lifetimes worth of trauma and abuse in her one life.
I suddenly felt I was really out of my depth, I asked advice in our online RTT Forum and was told by other therapists that this lady would need many sessions (which is very rare in RTT). When the day came around I felt a bit nervous. Like I was in over my head, but I was committed so I had to give it my very best.
Before her session, I reminded myself that I have the tools, I’ve seen them work with other clients. I’ve seen Marisa correct long-term bad vision in one session and scoliosis in another session. I’ve seen lots of people with severe depression or eating disorders being transformed with RTT. I’d also read countless stories of transformations from other practitioners, so I just needed to have faith in RTT and my abilities.
We did the session online as this lady lived in another country. It was full of tears and sadness, but there were moments of warmth and love when she met her younger self. By the end of our three-hour session she was utterly exhausted, so was I. She didn’t seem happy like my other clients had been at the end of their sessions. I told her I’d be in touch the next day to check in on her and then each week for the three weeks that she needed to listen to her personal hypnosis recording.
The next day I contacted her, I must admit, I was a bit concerned but was even more concerned when she didn’t reply. I left her a few messages but nothing, each day passed and still nothing.
My brain did what our brains do, it started looking for the worst case scenario… Had she gone into a deep depression, could she be in hospital, could she be suicidal? For the weekly check in I tried calling, texted and I messaged her on Facebook, but still nothing. Now I am starting to get really worried…. Then I got a message…
She was travelling home from a big family reunion the night before and she’d had an amazing time socialising and loved being the centre of attention for the first time in her 50 plus years. She said she felt absolutely amazing, she’d even had a situation the day before that would have normally triggered her, but she didn’t react which stunned herself and her husband.
She couldn’t thank me enough, she was loving her recording and listening every day, she even asked if we might be able to do a positive RTT session in the future, no looking at past trauma. We decided to wait and see how she felt after the 21 days and decide from there.
Now, six months later, she tells me she’s 90% recovered and 100% in love with her life and no other session was needed for this issue! One session turned this lady’s lifetime of horrible abuse and trauma around.
I get such a rush of joy knowing how happy she is. Her session has filled me with so much confidence and love for RTT. I want to tell everyone about how powerful it is.
Anything else you would like to share?
Yes. Firstly a massive thank you to Marisa for creating and fine tuning RTT over the last 30 years. How many lives has she transformed?! Not just through transformation, but through giving people like me a new life and purpose.
Some people just show up on planet earth and shake things up for the good, Marisa is one of them. Through her students, RTT will keep going and keep transforming lives for many decades to come. Incredible.
Secondly I want to say how it saddens me that there is a fear around hypnosis for a lot of people. Like most things, it comes from being unaware. Hypnosis accesses and can reprogram the subconscious mind. If there was more understanding of the power and simplicity of reprogramming the subconscious mind, there would be significantly less mentally, physically and emotionally damaged people suffering and living unfulfilled lives.
The subconscious mind is being programmed by each person every moment of every day, how else do you know how to walk, write, drive a car, remember phone numbers, birthdays, or learn new things. If you couldn’t retain the info in your subconscious mind you wouldn’t have those skills. However, not all things we repeatedly do are good for us.
Most of us do more damage to ourselves than anyone else could inflict on us by constantly repeating bad memories and negative thoughts. Who could you be if you didn’t constantly think limiting, negative, sabotaging thoughts of not being good enough?
It’s important for each one of us to take responsibility for our mental health, not just for ourselves but for our loved ones. Too many people are walking around feeling lost, depressed, anxious, self-harming, limited, unfulfilled and without hope.
There is holistic, rapid and lasting help. Hypnosis is an ancient method yet today most people fear they’ll end up clucking like a chicken instead of being transformed.
Midwives, anaesthetists, dentists and surgeons are starting to take hypnosis seriously, conventional medicine appreciates its value as a pain reliever, but it’s much more than that, especially with Marisa’s hybrid RTT.
Just like updating software in a phone or laptop, your brain needs updating, it’s still running on the programming it received when you were a very small and suggestible child.
I think RTT should be taught in schools, to teachers, medical professionals, psychiatrists, psychologists, police, prison officers, and anyone that has the potential to impact vulnerable people.
Be proactive and make the most of your life – one RTT session could be what stands between you and a whole new life.
Thank you so much Stacey for demonstrating the importance of self-love in transforming lives and the extraordinary power of RTT.
