Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere

On 7th April each year, there is a global focus on health awareness known as World Health Day. Sponsored by the World Health Organization, it has been commemorated on the same day each year since 1950. It is acknowledged by various government and non-government organizations with interests in public health issues. This year’s theme is ‘Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere.’

What is Universal Health Coverage (UHC)?

UHC is the practice of all communities receiving the health services they need without having to suffer financial hardship. It offers the full spectrum including medical treatment, rehabilitation, well-being promotion, and mental health care.

The Importance of Healthy Food For Well-Being
