We are looking for a highly experienced, trustworthy and organized full-time personal assistant to work with husband and wife, John Davy and Marisa Peer.  John is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and speaker who has decades of experience building high-growth companies. Marisa is a leading world hypnotherapist. 

This role includes taking complete responsibility for scheduling the calendars of two extremely busy individuals, both personally and professionally, handling confidential matters, arranging public appearances, securing travel arrangements and maintaining itineraries.

Meeting the demands of the employer is essential, even if it means doing things considered outside the normal scope of the job. The ideal candidate must work well under pressure, be capable of multi-tasking, and must be able to handle hectic work schedules.

The ideal candidate adapts well to a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, demonstrates flexibility as timelines and priorities change and provides a high degree of attention and responsiveness to the needs of the employer.

Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday. 

The ideal candidate is willing to work flexible hours to accommodate different timezones as travel dictates.

A 6.00am start will be required in line with UK travel whilst an 8.00am start will be necessary whilst John and Marisa are in situ in LA.

The role is principally Monday to Friday but there will be occasions where you will be expected to attend live events and take the occasional call over the weekend.

Location: From the home office in Venice, CA 90291 when they are in situ and remotely at other times.

Salary: Circa $50K per annum

Benefits: 20 days of holiday increasing to 25 days after 12 months

Role:

The role is to provide wide-ranging support in both business and personal matters with day-to-day tasks focused on:

  • Ensuring John’s and Marisa’s professional and personal lives are efficiently run, including administrative support

  • Managing email inbox, calendar, and contacts

  • To be marketing savvy

  • Be proficient or willing to learn how to use a basic video camera to record, perform simple edits and upload content 

  • Providing support across various personal social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram

  • Organizing travel arrangements - from booking flights and transport, arranging transportation, and confirming hotels

  • Filing and retrieving documents and maintaining a comprehensive electronic and paper filing system

  • Managing requests for interviews and media appearances

  • Acting as a channel for demands on their behalf (both internally and externally)

  • When they are away from the US, visiting the Venice home to ensure the post is opened and the property is looked after and secure

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have demonstrable, proven experience providing personal assistance at an executive level

  • Work closely with John Davy’s Business Manager and his UK based management team

  • Be a proactive and independent thinker who is able to be “one step ahead” of the needs of the employer

  • Have English as their first written and spoken language

  • Communicate clearly with excellent spelling and grammar, both verbal and written

  • Be both marketing and technically savvy, with proficient knowledge of Google and other software packages

  • Have experience of working with Apple / Mac products

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail

  • Be comfortable with a flexible working approach

  • Have copywriting skills (this is not essential but would be a huge asset)
